CMU Iron Mavericks

Colorado Mesa University's official powerlifting club, bringing students together through coaching, competition, and community.

The Club

A home for collegiate lifters

Iron Mavericks was built to give Colorado Mesa students a place to train with purpose. Whether you are preparing for your first meet or working toward Collegiate Nationals, you will have access to coaching, education, and a team invested in your success. Every member receives programming guidance, educational resources, occasional technique review, and meet day support for approved competitions. The goal is not just to get stronger. It is to help you become a better student athlete.

Athletes who consistently demonstrate commitment, trust, and leadership may earn a Sponsored Athlete position, providing full Performance-level coaching at no cost.

Everything we do is built around technical execution, accountability, and long-term development.
