Powerlifting meets depend on the people behind the platform. The Platform Crew Program trains individuals to become safe, confident, and dependable members of a professional powerlifting platform team.

A cohort built to run the platform
Through hands-on training, participants learn proper spotting and loading techniques, platform communication, competition equipment operation, meet procedures, and the teamwork required to keep lifters safe and competitions running efficiently.
Our goal is simple: develop better platform crews and create more opportunities for people to contribute to the sport.
No experience required
No previous powerlifting, spotting, or loading experience is needed. The program is designed for anyone interested in becoming more involved in the sport.

Trained for the platform

Platform Communication
Clear, confident communication between crew, referees, and the table.
Equipment Operation
Setting racks, adjusting benches, and operating competition equipment correctly.
Meet Procedures
How a sanctioned meet actually runs, from flights and attempts to timing.
Team Coordination
The teamwork required to keep a platform safe and a competition running efficiently.
Hands-On Experience
Live reps working the platform alongside experienced crew members.

Participants who successfully complete the training become eligible to work as members of the Top Set Platform Crew and receive:

Cohort One
